rear wheel spindle,(which way round)

#1 PostAuthor: floydsz1 » Wed Aug 08, 2007 8:45 pm

Just a thought,
has the rear wheel spindle got to go in with the nut on the left (sprocket side), i always have put it this way round in the past but have noticed the z1a i have recently bought has it on the brake drum side.just wondered if i need to swop it round. :? cant see any reason to change it, it clears the standard pipes etc. :!:

Hi bedlow,
ta for that,
I cant see any reason for it having to be a certain way, just looked in workshop manual and they all have the nut on the sprocket side. Ill leave it were it is anyhow, on the drum side,, Ive another question, dont know if youv'e any idea, over night the clutch sticks and i have to put it in gear and rock it back and forth a couple of times before i can start the engine and select first, ill put a new post on and see if anyone has any ideas.
cheers
