Early kicker engines were points.
Later kickers went to pick-ups around 79/80 with the mk2 etc then all the later j/gpz non kickstarts were all electronic.

they work just fine as long as you have the ignitor. If you want to change it I would fit a Dyna S and green 3ohm coils (you don't need the ignitor with the Dyna S system)

I have been looking at CBR1000RR exhausts for a while now and finally took a punt on one for 30 bucks, I don't think it's even beeoa running bike!
You would think it was made to go under the tail of a GPZ1100.

I want it to sit back 2-3inches and up about 1 inch and of corse I'll open it up and take most of the guts out.

its not that heavy at all, at a guess i would say maybe 1-1.5 kg,
but with loosing the original forks, swingarm and rear shocks , its lost a huge amount of weight too.
im not terriably worried about weight, shes gonna be a cruiz'r!

there will be a heap of room left for the mono and electrics, as i will be running the exhaust down the side of the frame to meet up with the cutout in the R1 swinger.
