On the left handlebar unit.
Can someone pls let me know what it is for, and how it works?
Mine appears to be stuck in one position, and I cannot find a manual to source any info.
Thanks

Z1000J "Stand" switch

it is to prevent the side stand switch from cutting the engine. when the engine is running you have to press the button + hold it there until the bike is fully leaning on the side stand. if the bike is running when the side stand is down if you just lift the bike so the stand moves back a little + the engine should cut out but if you press the side stand button before you lift the bike of the stand it should keep running. the switch only moves about 1mm it is not spring loaded it may seem like it is stuck but that is how they are made
That stand and switch on the J is one of the most over complicated non functional pieces of kit ,the big K ever made, hopeless!!!!
