I just love that paint.

The belly pan is very subtle, especially if left black, but I agree with Simon & Piggy, it would look better if the front edge was lower. A bit more AGGRESSIVE.

Stunning bike though Sanderz, I love it.

Sanderz, I've really enjoyed watching this project evolve. Just wanted to say that.

Im the same Simon, and despite what some people think I dont like making negative comments about other peoples endeavours, but the belly pan has to go all together !

what a great build !!!,its a joy to view it all coming together ,i am not a fan of belly pans but it does suit the bike .I agree with steve ,leave it black.

Coldsummer - cracked me up that "i know f*ck all about f*ck all" as i was actually saying it in a Frank Gallager voice

KeithZ1R - fair comment, if im honest i recon it looks better without meself. I'll probably finish the pan (paint and badge) and go from there. Its only 4 bolts to remove (or replace) so......

GB This was the paint set originally- back in the day "when i were a lad" circa '81
Toast racks an all - as well as Lesters, twin discs, Marving, Marzochis (cheap uns) ..... funny how i always remembered it with a chrome front gaurd and a short rear gaurd - seems im sort of replicating it with a more modern twist







Put that last one up cause of the car in the backgroud - kinda shows how long ago it was.

Anyhow, all this shite about "all our yesterdays" i've a tear in me eye now -
an if yer believe that .....

Your Zed is really looking the muts nuts...but i think the belly has to go...sorry for that sanderz mate...it just doesn't look right with the rest of the bike.

I love the pushed forward handlebars on your original bike. I have my bars pushed forward on the Old Gurl - I don't know exactly why - but it gives a feeling of well being and a sort of "I'm on top of the world" feeling. It was a fashion at the time that has pretty much disappeared, though I do know a few old Zeddists who ride with the bars pushed forward. Perhaps I saw someone at the time and thought they looked super cool ?

I lurve the paint job. Not sure about the belly pan - it might look better if it were colour matched to the tank etc and the top of the sides tapered back in the same way as the tank's shape. I think, as it is, it's a little bit angular.

Yep - I think it looks odd Its harder to control the bike with your wrists twisted in at an awkward angle - but each to there own

Cheers for the 'heads up' there Z1parR but sorry to say ive not done a tap to it. Shortly after those pics were taken i closed the doors on my little workshop due to personal issues and haven't opened the doors since.
I'll get my head and heart back into it sometime.
