Hello,

it was our pleasure to meet you all in Stafford.

All our pictures you can find here...

On sunday evening around 10:00 p.m. it was said : "The eagle has landed !!".

Upon our arrival in UK we hired a car and went to RWHS Classic Bikes at Hales Farm.

In Loggerheads we had to stop and find the way. Fortunatelly Will
Swinnerton sent me a precise desritpion of way, otherwise we would have got lost even with our navi.
My friends first tried the local phone box...

Image

Finally we made it and found the hideaway.

Image

Will welcomed us in front of the famous green doors which we know
from the internet where they take the pics of their bikes. Since it was
tea time we have been served with a cup of tea.

Image

Will, his brother Tommy, Kate and George are taking care of building nice bikes in a fulltime-job on the farm. Besides they also
restor some old cars. Will was initially employee at Kawasaki Custom in Cannock near Birmingham, the frist official Kawasaki dealer in UK.
So he knows his business quite well. He takes care abou sales and
promotion in the internet.

Tommy is in charge of the ware house with all the bits and pieces, while
Kate (she rides a Duc) does the quality management and test rides etc.

Image

We had a look into the barn at all the bike taht have been built with skill
and a lot of care for details. They also struggle with the same problems
how and where to source parts, remake them sometimes and have to live
on the money they make out of this business.

Image

As usual there are many part in the trash can....

Image

Many thanks to Will, Tommy and their friends for hosting us and taking us around.
Welcome to visit us in Germany at any time.

Image

We took some pics in Hales and then went south to Stafford in order to chill out in the pub of the Spitfire hotel
until the guys from the Z1OC returned form the show ground.

Image

Together with them and Chris we had diner from the buffet.

Re: Stafford Show

#11 PostAuthor: Peter K. » Tue Oct 23, 2012 1:09 pm

After another delicious english breakfast, the Z-Club-Green-Dream-Team went by car from
Walsall to the Stafford showground quite early in order to overcome the enormous annuall traffic jams heading to the show.

Image

On the other hand we had to queue with many visitors at the entrance gate.

Image

Since is was quite cold so early, we first visited the halls and dropped the
T-Shirts and other items at the booth of the Z1OC Stand.

Thanky to Jerry, his wife and all others for distributing all items amoung the
visitors.

Image

After that we strolled through the fair where many clubs had their bikes on display, amoung them
the GPZ900R friends.

Image

Outside in the show ground the latest EC-confrom creations of protection
helmets have been presented along with lots of other bits and pieces as well as many bikes.

Image

Only a few Kwakers and even much more less Kawasaki parts could have been spotted.

Image

Obivously Dani was very delighted about the quality offered.

Image

Also you were able to find some tuning items.

Image

After the show late the in evening, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place.
As a member of the Z1OC I was happy to be invited to participate.
Various items have been discussed rapildy and it was agreed to hold a
rally in 2013 for sake of 25 years of Z1OC. We will promote and support
the rally in order to attract as many bikers a possible.

Chris highlighted the fact, that he has learned, that the Z-Scene all over
Europe is a huge famliy with the same spirit end entuthiasam around their Z-Bikes.

Image

Chris then has booked two taxis to take us and some friends from
Norway to a Kashmiri Restaurant.

On site every thing hot and spicy was avaibale on the menu card. Since I was the driver,
I ordered a sweet Lassie. The others took care of the booze along with the Norwegians who set pace
followed by our english friends. Dani & Ralph had some problems to keep up, but did quite well
and had a lot of fun. Back at the Spitfire we took a photo and waved us good bye.
