Don't bother with the alloy foil bit, Dyna coils will clear and keep cool if mounted below the glass. All the other bits will mount on the top. If you are going to Stafford have a look at mine or Eamons.

Finally got me a ROLLING chassis !!!!!!!!

The chaps at Faulkner Springs measured the rate of the one me SHOWA had fitted and sure enuff it was a 450lb effort - what normally gets fitted to a Harris Mag 1 :!: I contacted Harris for a bit of advice - and Lester himself called me back for a chat :up 450lb is right for a 2:1 leverage ratio, but with the JMC its just over 3:1, so I ordered a 650 lb spring to try...... Anyhow after weeks & weeks of trying to suss out sorting the shock mounting to the JMC - I finally decided to uses some M20 studding, knocked up summink to fit the shock and made an alloy block to fit to the top brace.....

A local bike Engineer cut & welded it for me.... This friggin' JMC has cost me an arm & a leg :!:

SO, fitted it all together and it's looking OK....

Image

You can see the typical adjustment range as it is at the mo' - but I can lower it another 50mm by taking off the backing nut if needed .....

LOWEST:

HIGHEST:

Also got hold of a proper Harris seat unit......... just gotta decide if I'm gonna use it :shrug

Finally checked on GROUND CLEARANCE for hacking down to the chippy on a Summers evening

Rolling chassis looks ace matey. :D

But alas, the seat unit just looks overbearing. It could look ok if trimmed back to a line 1.5 inches below seat, but would need to see a rear end view before I was convinced. :??
