I did one of the first RTTW runs in 2009, and thought it was a fantastic experience, and very well organised. My review from another forum below.
Well what a fantastic , but poignant day.....
Things started a little cold and foggy as we met some local Harleys at Lincoln, before meeting up with others further en-route.

The sun had broken through by the time we assembled at Drayton Manor and it turned into a glorious day

The rideout started at 11.00 with a flag bike from each H O G Chapter leading. There was so many bikes there that we didn't set off until 12.00 - and we weren't the last

The flag bikes had ridden into the centre of the Memorial, whilst everyone else parked in the grounds. There was plenty of space, and it was well organised by Marshalls / HOG volunteers.

It wasn't just Harleys though - there was thousands of other bikes of all types there too.

There was a short service at 1.30 with bagpipes , a release of doves, and the last post

before a flypast by a Spitfire

followed by the laying of Wreaths from each Chapter

It was quite emotive and sombre seeing all the names on the wall

We managed to find the bike at the end and rode home after a day to remember.
