Trying to remove the single Philips head bolt that holds the front cam chain guide in place but the little blighter wont budge. Any tips on how to get it out without causing too much damage?

Got one out by "converting" the chewed phillips to a straight screw followed by a large straight driver with mole grips clamped on the shaft
the second I bought an air impact gun

Try some left hand cut drills, starting at the smallest size and working gradually up ,i have had quite a bit of success with these,a bit of luck and it will spin out as the size gets bigger or with care you will get big enough to pick out remains of threads..good luck..
