brake pad choice

#1 PostAuthor: captaincaveman » Sat Sep 22, 2012 9:30 am

looking at brake pads for the gpz, just wondered if anyone uses sintered and what they are like, are they too harsh or do people prefer the more natural feel of the standards gg's

Just wondered with such a heavy bike if they were more advisable or are they more prone to locking up the front?

I run HH pads on my GPz1100 with pfm cast disks, the disks make the most difference, I was going to upgrade to later model callipers and disks before i did this but this combo makes the brakes feel very good

I use sintered EBC pads on my Z1000J and have been impressed with them ever since I fitted them. Wear on the disks is indeed higher, but not worryingly...

I got OEM pads at reasonable cost from eBay USA for my J.

Work fine.
