engine removal/replacement

#1 PostAuthor: weaver » Wed Sep 19, 2012 3:36 pm

when removing the engine from my elr should I remove it to the right hand side when sitting on the bike?

Also when refitting,is it better to lie the engine on its side and place the frame over it to save damaging the paintwork/coating?

thanks

yes and yes, have sprocket cover off too and not a bad idea to tape some protectors to bits of frame. I use old pushbike inner tubes

Also gives you a bit extra room if you take cam cover off,a good trolley for wheeling the lump round on is a supermarket trolley base, available from any good local canal or river....
