I've was lucky enough to find a mint one of these on Ebay and I've just put it on the bike and was wondering how the brake switch actually works.
I have a ZZR brake master cylinder but I'd like to use the period switch. I obviously need some sort of wiring loom (looking in wanted) but I'm a bit clueless with electrics so I'm not sure how it will work. Does it go into the loom in the headlight for power then to the switch? Can someone show me how theirs is wired up, or tell which wire / colour goes where?
Thanks.
John

On the Z900 the front brake light switch has two wires connected to it, a BROWN & a BLUE. Both go into the headlight shell & connect into the wiring there. The BROWN wire is an ignition feed. If there no spare BROWN connector in the headlight you could just connect into a BROWN wire, there should be one going to the engine kill switch & headlight switch.
The BLUE wire goes to the brake light. If there's not a BLUE wire in your headlight you'll have to run one in & find the BLUE wire going from the rear brake light switch to the brake light itself.
