Hi i wondered if anyone could give me advise on what wiseco piston kit to get for my kawasaki.
As far as i know my bottom end is a z1000j (KZT00JE025718) i have used a gpz1100 uni track head. I have been informed this may cause me problems when fitting a Wiseco kit?
Thanks Vince

The issue is valve to piston clearance issues due to the steeper angle of the unitrack valves .
It's less of a problem if not using a high domed piston.
Go for 10.25 to 1 and assemble the top end with no head gasket.
With only two valves installed in the head on number 4 cylinder use a blob of plasticene on each valve and see how much it is squashed when the engine is slowly rotated, oil the piston crown to stop the placticene from sticking to it (stop if there's any resistance to avoid bending valves)
Chances are you will have miles of clearance especially if not using wild cams.
