Hendersons in Edinburgh.

http://www.hendersonsmetalcleaning.co.uk/

They blasted all my engine casings for approx £145 IIRC. The finish looks good(not too shiny)

The oilways needed a wee flush though afterwards

The only pic I can find at the moment

Thanks.......is it Andy ?

I gave Hendersons a call earlier, hope to take my casings over later in the week for them to have a look at them, they have been previously powdercoated, so they need to be stripped before vapour blasting.

If you any recommendations for Chromework and Zinc plating, that would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Rob...

Aye its Andy

I used Mikey(on the site) from Bristol for all my brightwork. Bit involved to get it there but the results are well worth it

Thanks Andy,

Will contact him later, first priority is to get the engine casings finished and then I can hopefully crack on with the engine rebuild.

The bike has been laying in a corner of my garage for six years, waiting on the engine. Most everything else has been done, paintwork, frame, wheels, etc

Thanks Andy,

I dropped the engine into Hendersons this afternoon, they are going to chemically strip the old powdercoating off first and let me assess the condition of the bare alloy, then I can decide whether to get it Vapour blasted or go with a heat resistant paint finish.

Should take them about a week
