ST Frame

#1 PostAuthor: nigel bessant » Thu Aug 23, 2012 6:28 pm

Any help or advice needed regarding a Z1000ST shaft frame.

What is the distance between the swing arm pivot points on the inside of the frame? ie how wide is the standard swing arm?

Will a Z1000 chain drive engine (later square top cam cover) fit into the ST frame without serious mods?

Will the Z1000 bodywork fit onto the ST frame?

Are the ST yokes the same as a Z1000

I guess what I'm asking is, can I fit everything off of my Z1000 onto an ST frame?

thanks
Nigel

Chain engine drops straight in ( same crankcases etc as ST )
So do the yokes.
Tank should drop straight on but side panel and tail mounting lugs will need moving.

ST frame is massively wide at the swinging arm pivot, it's around 300mm compared to the chain drive version at 235mm.

I like the sound of that.

Any one got an ST frame for sale?
