Well finally my powdercoater finished my frame and said rest of stuff ready next week. He let me bring the frame home and I have made some progress at last by putting frame onto the engine and trying a few bits on.
While at powdercoaters I dropped off my forks and yokes so that the engineer I use could make up a set of fork braces which i will use to mount a front mudguard off.

Hmm, not bad except the Ohlins - you dont wanna be fitting those Jim. I hear bad things about 'em
Tell you what - I am in York on Tuesday. I will take em off your hands cheap to save you any hassle

Why do I persist in debating with idiots ? I really should know better

Your marzochis are nice enough charlie, esp after all the rebuild work and powder coating.
Made some more progress today, picked up rest of bits from powder coaters and spent the afternoon fitting wheel bearings, swingarm bearings, rear shocks, battery box and engine mounting plates.
Will have to get some tyres, discs and a rear sprocket now$$$$$, before I can get this thing rolling. Thats when I get forks back from having brace made.
Swingarm and shocks in.
Wheels with new bearings.
A few of the powder coated bits.
Rear spindle and brake carrier.
Battery box installed, stainless allen button head screws.

Had Bridgestone 160 rear tyre fitted yesterday, having 3 discs made (couple of weeks as he is behind with orders) and ordered a jt rear sprocket (5 days), will fit Zephyr rear wheel, but with 42 teeth instead of 48.
Footrest mount rubbers came overnight and just need to paint the metal part of the actual footrests to finish those.
More stainless stuff went on, such as swingarm eccentric clamp bolts, footrest acorn nuts and washers, electric panel mounts, sprocket bolts and carb hose clamps.
Heres the rear wheel waiting for its disc and sprocket.

Hi Sanderz, the discs on the Zeph11 wheels were too big a diameter310, I need 298mm which is same as ZX9R and same offset. Did not want chinese discs and could not afford genuine or Galfer. Someone on site said use ABE so giving them a try, have heard good and bad about them ie poor wet weather braking, but others had no problems.
Sprocket turned up quickly.

After looking through my electrics bits box, I have found starter cables from a GT550 I broke plus various other useful electric cabling. GPRD gave me a rear brake switch sensor. Have been on ebay and found some Renthal superbike bars in gold, ZX9R clutch perch (C models used a cable rather than hydraulic) to match the front brake m/c, a near new Dyna S ignition at half cost of new, some paddock stand bobbins and a 3 phase rectifier/regulator.
Baz at Blue Haze engineering has a 8 inch headlight and has nearly finished my fork brace, now I just need to get the discs to make a rolling chassis.

Have bought throttle cables and throttle tube off steve who sold me the switches.
picked up some cheap used levers now in post
switches clear yoke top, might need to extend end of bars 1", but no big job.
Fitted front tyre and have tried front wheel in fork and yoke assy to make sure the wheel clears the forkbrace which it does. Now I need to find a front mudguard (see wanted section) that does not look too modern and will fit between the ZX9R forks and miss the brace. I have about half an inch clearance, but could eek a bit more with spacers if required.

Looking good
Maybe a Yam xj900? - but that would have to be bolted to the fork brace itself, theirs a 'flat' area with the mounting studs in if i remember, ....just bouncing ideas around here.
