Z1R Moriwaki racer

#1 PostAuthor: chriskid » Sat May 05, 2012 7:52 am

Good morning, been busy to buy me a tuned 135 Horsepower strong engine for my Moriwaki / Gardner inspired / racer.

z1000 Engine specs: Welded and balanced crank/1050 cc kit/ Norris cams / big oilpump and bladiebla and so on....

Engine has been in a heated shed for 25 years and was fitted in a MOTO Cross sidecar frame for 1 race.

Engine was to heavy and to powerfull and went out and landed in a shed.

It is now in a shed again.... but it is my shed now ...

check how much oil the banjo bolts flow, you may be better off with different fittings for the cooler.

Nice, looking forward to seeing this, is it going to be a true replica or your vision of what it should be? either way I'll be interested.

The engine has an oilpump with (a lot) more output than normal, so it should be suitable.

It will be a big / well handeling / Moriwaki time period build, but with my interpretation all over it (as you can see in the parts list).

I collect these parts over the years with the Moriwaki in the back of my mind. Now that I found a nice engine I started officially the Mori build.

It could take a while though...as I am building a Nico Bakker Gs Thou at the sime time
