It stopped in 2002. There was talk of a freight only service.

There is Ramsgate to Ostend or Dover Dunkirk.

Is there a link to the event/Belgian site??

Very tempted by this but cannot find any links/details???

I am about 10 miles from Ramsgate so if any wants to meet at mine first they are welcome.

I am very tempted too.

Despite having asked where it is being held, earlier in this thread, there have been no responses. I looked at the Z-Club Belgie website

http://www.kawa-z-club.be/nl/nl/Treffen_2012.html

and this page says its on 31/8 to 2/9.

The dutch Z club site

http://www.kawasakimerkclub.eu/index.ph ... &Itemid=58

mentions the same event and suggests it is in a place called Houthalen(see fifth box down on the page). Not a bad run - from the coast to Brussells, onto Leuven(home of Stella) then onto Ghent and Houthalen.

Unless anyone knows different......This is guesswork on my part

If I have got this right I wouldn't mind giving it a shot.

I have been contacted by the Belgian Z club.

I have enquired as to train fares which are approximately £80.
I am also looking into hotel accomodation but thus far it looks like a very limited, and expensive, choice.

Here is the mail I got from Belgium.

Hello,

I can tell you that the meeting will take place on the first weekend of september.
So it will probably be 1 and 2 september.
It will take place at "de plas" Kelchterhoef in Houthalen-Helchteren (Belgium).
You can camp there if you want.
Please navigate to binnenvaartstraat in Houthalen-Helchteren, Belgium to get there.

Kind regards,

Right, here goes.

There are 4 going in our group on the Chunnel. 3 will be in a hotel 3 miles from the rally site. I reserved 4 rooms but one of us wishes to camp. If someone wants the spare single room they must let me know today preferably. Cost is 80 euros per night.

I will be asking all for money up front as they want payment by credit card up front.

I will book Chunnel later.
