are they the same or is there right and left handed hangers ?

They are the same,just reversed to give R/H or /L/H.

They are very definately different.

Calipers are the same though.

Wayne in parts book they have different part numbers

43044-009 RH holder 43044-008 LH holder

The recessed mounting faces are handed so they are different.
