5/8 master cylinder

How can i tell the difference between a 5/8 and a 1/2 master cylinder fitted to an A4.

if its not stamped underneath 5/8 then u will have to measure the bore where the piston is
73 z1 green
73 z1 brown
74 z1a brown
75 z1b red
75 z1b blue
76 z900 green
77 z1000 black

Genuine 5/8 are stamped near the outlet,i am fairly sure..
