This is the caliper mount.
I also had a disc mount made up to hold the ZX6R rear brake setup but dont have pics of it, its now powdercoated white & fitted to the rim






The tail unit build

Covered in Aluminium foil so the glass resin didnt melt the foam

Now the seat

Wooden mid section so the trim could be stapled to it, shaped to fit a 'bent to fit' piece of aluminium that matched the lines of the seat base, this was used so i could fit rivet nuts to attact the seat to the base

Wiring

This is partially wired but i wanted a pic like this, you can see the light switch in the box at the top left & the main on/off switch in the top right, when its off everything shuts down so i can start with no lights, i think thats easier on the battery

Steve, It looks well nice I've also got a 750 twin in a cuistom frame.

Who made your exhaust or are they modified standard ?

Just got the cans off ebay but i got them unfinished so i could paint them. The downpipes are the ones i got on the bike but they're not original, they turn upwards at the end so the cans are angled up.............that was about the only thing that went in my favour during the build!!

I'll be adding clip ons now that i've had it out for a tiny spin on private roads. I actually like the way the bike rides. The back wheel is never gonna get any power surprises but the engine is so bloody torquey! comfort was ok too & its about as good as you'll get with 15mm of seat foam. Need to get the speedo set correctly, i dont think its supposed to read 184.6mph!!

Cheers for the info Jim, some v sound advice! I'd have spent money in the wrong direction i think on the next bike with the head's being different! Cheapo Zephyr engine will be looked about, might just buy a roughish bike & i can use the clocks, swingarm rear brake setup & engine........sell the rest
