As usual very little progress on this - long term project could be replaced by lifetime project

Seem to be more 'out 'n about than doing something in the shed but anyhow.....
A little background if yer want it

Some months back i'd measured up for the rear brake, but being somewot of a lazy fekker, only recently put it together. Not normally a problem but this had me on the verge of slinging it over the back fence more than once
Rear caliper is early GSXR so its over 20years old but after a good clean (pistons out) and connecting it to an 'old' brake line and front master cylnder on some handlebars in the vice all moved freely.
So with new fasteners and bleed nipples connected the 'new' line, fresh fluid in, pumped it through - no pressure what so ever, repeat above and ....
Still no pressure...
So as the song says "we was getting nowhere, so we had a cup of tea"
Suspect now was rear master cylnder (Brembo of a XJR13) took that apart, good clean out and .....nothing, same as, no pressure!
Long story short, after a lot of "fannying arond" it works a treat - dont know if it was 'airlocked' or maybe a spec of dirt in the transfer ports of the cylnder.... not sure??
Bled the system on the bench with the caliper higher than the lever- along these lines
Only other snag was after all the ON/OFF strpping it down, one of the wires on the pressure switch had frayed. So replaced that with a bajo bolt and had a root around the shed to knock summat up.
Found these -
Some folded ally sheet, heat sink, alloy bush and if your familiar with tattoo machines thats a needle (less tip) which is used then discarded usually.
So put together with an old switch i had this, it works so it'll do.
And on the bike with a few 'P' clips
While out'n about had these made up - useless really as its only a 6mm threaded rod through the spindle but hey ho, nothing ventured nothing gained. Didnt cost out, only time so i'll see how it all looks another day.
Oh and a little bracket for the tacho cable on the bottom yolk -
Last thing is a little purchase, been thinking about this for a while - well since i thought about taking the sump off, just for piece of mind since it was put together in the kitchen and the cutlery draw is missing a few teaspoons these days so.....
The low profile cover will give the exhaust collector more clearance and the oil pan gate will keep the oil where its needed.
......to be continued .....yawn, anyone still awake?
See ya
