leaking exhaust

how do i check to see if the exhaust is leaking :?:

START THE BIKE + BLOCK OF THE END OF THE EXHAUST WITH SOME CLOTH + LISTEN FOR ANY LEAKS AROUND THE DOWNPIPES WHERE THEY CONNECT TO THE HEAD. ALSO UNDERNEATH THE ENGINE IF YOUR DOWNPIPES ARE NOT WELDED TO THE MAIN PART OF THE EXHAUST. A GOOD FITTING EXHAUST SHOULD STALL THE ENGINE IF THE END OF THE SILENCER IS BLOCKED OF

Listen for blowing
feel (carefully) for a draught of gas,
look for sooty deposits
Might backfire too when closing the throttle
