Convert from Cam cap bolts to studs

I know there used to be a thread on this forum, but for the life of it... I can't find it.

What I want to do is to convert my Z1000J cam cap bolts to studs, because even after fixing them with helicoils, they are not 100% confidence inspiring to be honest.

Hi Greg' i am the guilty party for this mod, i done it on my old nail about six years ago and the bike is still going strong, another member owns it now, there is a small write up on how i done it in this link i believe i still have a set of studs that will need to be tailor fitted to a head if you need them, i will also advise you where i can if you do this mod.

this is another head insert for use with cam cap location i made for Mr puffin and as far as i am aware is also holding out well.

Hi Kev,

that's a very kind offer, if you happen to find them, I would be more than delighted.
If not, it's not that bad, as I have a lathe and then I will just turn down a set of M8-bolts to 6mm and cut a thread.
