Hi guys
As earlier posts have said this rally is just the other side off Dundee , the reason for this Paul is because unlike in Ireland nobody comes to anything up here these days so i cant put on a do on it's own .
I know the Sinners that hold this rally well and their happy to let us jump in as we used to do with the wolfpack at Crail. If there was a suitble local do i would use that but at the moment the bike scene round here has problems and no one want's to stage rallies.
At least this way there's something happening on site and we're not standing in an empty car park .
Z1b has offered the use of his premesis for a get togehter in the future which i hope to arrange for later in the year but until i can get numbers like York there will be no Scottish rally purely for members.
Look forward to seeing veryone next week at York

Murph im sorry to say but
your rally is to far up in scotland for a lot of us to come for just over night or for a week end , thats why not many of us are coming to it . im shore if it was near the borders then you would have a lot more willing to travel to it , my self and steve would gladly join you on the borders and it looks like the Irish would come over too , we are now looking forwards to a rally or meet near to the scotish boraders again at some time or the other

I thought Tibbie Sheilds was a great wee venue for the rally (apart from the midges) great location and just enough of a run even for me travelling from the north, not sure what the problem was there but you can't make a rally grow if its to far for people to attend, and the cost of fuel these days don't help matter's.
1000 posts reached that will do for me,over and out.been fun.
The main problem with Tibbie shiels for me anyway was the guy that owned it didnt excactly make you feel welcome there , thats just my opinion maybe other folk liked him.
I spoke to him the last time we were there and he had some bother with campers that he had put off the site i offered him help with them if he needed it which he said he didn't and he said his other problem on his site was us !!!
Kinda puts me off going back Davy.
Iain Marshall says he has a venue in mind so maybe we can look at that for next year.

Just noticed this comment Murph, its a two way thing, there has to be commuiction, something I think your not the best at. I think you have to get to know as many people up here and build up interest. Its easy for people to lose interst when they dont know whats happening. Fire some suggestions out get people talking, even planing a meet some where central. Theres nothing better than meeting other Zed heads, talk about things and get things moving. I'm just fed up with people asking whats happening up here!! I think if it carries on as it is there will be very little if anything up here.
Got the Rex, just the Kat to get now...

My thoughts also Iain,if this is a club so to speak then we have to have some kind of stucture for run's etc at the moment there is very little nobody know's or has any say in whats going on,my location does not help me but I will travel to runs rally's they don't have to be Z related as long as we get together and get back to where we were a few years ago.

Fair comments Iain and Davy , lets have a run then somewhere central who's got a suggestion for where and when then ?
I was planning to have an overnighter to Grampian transport museum at some point this summer but i'm open to suggestions.

I like the sound of an overnighter but bearing in mind its been a while since we’ve had a local meet would we be better off just starting with a lunch run somewhere?
Couple of suggestions
Meet at Broxden services Perth and head up to Braemar though Glenshee
Meet at Powmill milk bar and head to the green welly
I know they are not the most original runs but it would give Murph a idea of numbers and interest for more involved runs/events.
If I’ve read the mood right it doesn’t matter if your Zed isn’t on the road come on whatever you have its more about putting faces to names and making contact

I think a meet up and a run to start with would be a good idea, just to get people out and talking. Sort out a date and let anyone you know that might be interested. There has to be quite a few members that don't use the site, so its up to use to pass the word round.
