I am building a Sanctuary replica based on a Z900 A4. I want the bike to look as clean as possible and therefore want to avoid having mechanical tacho and speedo cables. PMC do an electronic tacho that looks just like the original mechanical one but they don't do an electronic speedo. The bike will probably have Z1 (not Z900) instrument brackets BTW.
Does anyone out there know of someone who makes an electronic speedo? Or of someone who could convert a mechnical speedo into an electronic one? I intend to fit the speed sensor to the rear wheel, probably on the caliper bracker.
The other option is to fit new gauges from Stack or similar but I want to keep the look of the original instruments if possible.
The other reason for fitting an electronic speedo is that the entire front end will be modern (17" wheel, 20mm spindle) so the speedo cable gearbox won't be suitable.
thanks!

Z Power sell electronic rev counters for early zeds, but they last about 100 miles before they go haywire and then the needle falls off.
So do not buy one of these.
I am looking around at moment to see what I can do to replace the rev counter.
