Z900A4 Brake splitter spacers

The brake splitter on my A4 is mounted to the lower yoke by a pair of 45mm long bolts that also hold the cable eyes. There is a spacer on each bolt that holds the splitter away from the yoke. One of mine is missing and I cannot find a part number for it in the parts book. The spacer is 10mm O/D and 12mm long

Is this a bodge ( the bike has had a front end prang at some point and not been well repaired) or should they be there?

If so, has anybody got one I can buy, beg etc,etc

Or do I mount the splitter so that it abuts the face of the lower yoke and use shorter bolts?

bill. the two collars are only fitted to the single disc brake splitter. if you have the twin disc splitter you do not need the collars. although i cannot see what purpose they serve

Are they not for the headlamp support bracket ?

No headlamp support bracket on an A4 due to the indicator warning buzzer

Thanks everybody,

It did not occur to me that the single disc set up would be different to the double disc - and it was the double disc page that I was open when rebuilding the front end.

The thread has achieved two things - first it confirms that the A4 does have these spacers and second and really pleasingly I have had a pm and one is on its way to me....

Another example of the spirit and comradery in this club.
