been sometime since i put anything on here.
have been waiting for valves from a member that in the end did not arrive.
so brought some new ones.ive had the seats re cut and engine is back together.next to sort the shims out.
The project is very near the end now.
to bring you up to date on what i have done since i last posted.refurbished and fitted the hand controls.

And have done what was the hardest part of the project and that is paint. The hardest thing was to decide what design to do.
I wanted to try and do something original[not easy] and complement the original look but with an updated look.Which is how i have approached the hole bike.
As i have done the hole bike my self i thought why stop now. These are the material's i used for the job

As you can see ive used some carbon vinyl.Im not that bothered about if it looks like real carbon. The reason i used it was it gave me a textured finish and is Matt.Which i like as a contrast to the smoth and gloss black and gold.I also believe it meets my brief.

Next post should be the fished bike.

When i first said cosmetic rebuild.Who was i kidding  turned out to be a bit more than that.
thanks to all the help with my questions on the forum.
malcolm for the bike lift.

And stevieT for that extra pair of hands when needed.

That looks great. If that was a cosmetic tidy up I'd hate to see how you tackle and ground up concours rebuild  ...

Hope she goes as good as she looks.

Well done mate. One lucky chap.
