Battery Drain
My little project, having fun with, put a new battery on last week, trickle charged it to full charge, all ok, notice that after a few days standing most charge dropped down, nothing switched on the bike so any ideas what could be draining it?

If you have a multimeter connect it in series on the dc amps range in the battery positive line.ie disconnect the battery positive connect it to the common on the meter and connect the 10a connection on the meter to the battery postive,if you have a reading with all electrics and switches off this will indicate your current drain!it is is then a case of tracing the wiring etc and disconnecting one piece of kit at a time till the drain ceases,of course it may be just you have a sulfated battery if it has been standind try disconnecting the battery and see if it still loses its charge. a good battery should be 2.2 volts per cell ie 6x2.2=13.2....Hope this helps Paul J

Vehicle Wiring Products do a superb meter that includes a 10amp fused setting.
I use mine at work and in conjunction with a probe tester is all you will ever need.
