Hiya Steve,
Great to have your comments on my re-build - fellow Z650er and all that. Just wish Crofty would give me some feedback on it now.
Yes the silencers were the closest I could find although I have noticed more and more new pattern systems are coming onto the market now - you can get CBX and early H1 sets this year as well as H2 and Z1.
So perhaps 4 into 2 for Z1000/ 650 could be around the corner - as the market value of the bikes increases??
There's a bit of a thread on my rebuild website showing the work I had to do to adapt the standard headers etc. - take a look if you want.

I would really love to get our 650s out together this season - we have been saying that for ages and we never do it do we?? Will post up some meets/ events when I am back on the road next month. I think there would be a few slack jawed yokels if our two machines pulled up at the same time

Thanks a lot Ade
Just a little update on this one. Have just heard it won the bike of the month vote on the Z650 website - that's one for my scrap book.
Big thanks to everyone who offered help, suggestions etc. during the rebuild. Especially to Paul the Z1BMan - top bloke
Cheers from Mark

Hi Guyz,
Made the most of last week's good riding weather on both bikes around the Staffordshire and Shropshire countryside.
Tried to get a few shots of the little Zed which show some of the character of the bike - rather than the more technical shots in the rebuild thread so far.
Plenty more Z650 poster images here if anyone wants to see them -

Don't forget "KZ" sounds like Kay Zee in the USA (rhyming poster caption).
Cheers from Mark

Cheers Paul,
Will certainly look into doing up some old bikes now I've mastered the difficult skill of buying loads of repro parts from PMC
Need garage space first though - any offers
Reckon you should know most of the locations used for the new shots.
See how many you can name......
Can't believe an early Moggy Minor drove up as I was taking one shot - that was the first car I owned (and did a full engine rebuild) back in the early 1980s.
Thanks to other Paul as well. How is your pal fixed for a meet up this Saturday pm Z1Bman??

What about this shot to show the more gritty, urban side of the bike?
City streets are where a lot of little Zeds lived and died over the years -
Have tried to give it a modern, inner city feel - does it work?
There's a music reference going on in there for younger viewers
(google Jay-Z and in da hood if you missed it)

Yeah Ade
Spot on,
I tried to sneak over there early Saturday morning to get the shot.
So as not to get my wheels jacked.
Thinking it would be quieter - and still got involved with a couple of drunken hoody types wielding Stella cans and bragging about their quad biking skills.
Time for a sharp exit
Although on reflection a picture of them both looking round the bike might have been more atmospheric
I also snapped it against some darker graffiti at the same location - that's on the Zedrider Gallery or Zedrider Posters web page somewhere if u r interested.
