First cut of the season Simon (lawn) - how's your 650 coming along??

Cheers from Mark

Must get my mower out next weekend. The 650 is still sat on the bench awaiting some more attention. Engine cases need cleaning up next, or I might just spray them black to hide the crud. What do you think about that Mark?

In all seriousness the 650 looks great, you've done a fantastic job.

Hi Simon,

Yep I'm well up for a quick lick with the rattle can to cover up the crud matey - it's what Harleys are all about

.....oh and if it's the SR or CSR version don't forget the ticky tacky - cos they all look just the same :!:

Guy,
Need to think about Berks. meeting. Pop in on your way to next Stafford Show and we can discuss (biccies or cake - you choose) If you get your resurrection bike on a Stafford Show stand at any point that might be a good point to get them out together as well :?:

Oh I see, it's like that eh! Contrary to popular belief, the SR rebuild will be constrained and tasteful. Well mostly.... :??

Simon
The most constrained and tasteful bike I ever saw you with was that drop dead gorgeous Candy Super Blue Z1-b you privately imported from the states recently.......

and we all know how long that lasted - so it doesn't bode well mister

Good point Mark. It was a really nice example of a Z1b wasn't it, and the correct candy blue colour!!

The SR is a mostly original refresh, apart from the 4 into 1 and different paint that is.

Wait until you see the Number Seven project, that'll bring tears to your eyes

Can't wait for the number 7 project - sounds a hoot Simon.

Is it just me or does anyone else reckon the LTD, SR and CSR versions were partly trying to get a slice of the Harley / Chop market for Kawasaki :?:

We need to stop talking about them anyhow cos I am getting this wicked notion of you on the SR and Mikey on his Gert Lush LTD with a couple of others - forming a sort of South Western Ape Hangers Brigade a la Wild Hogs (Travolta film) - after all if there's gonna be a Z1 riders club, why not

Which one do you fancy being mate?

oh ok Ade
I'm running really slow on this one

1. never watched Grizzly Adams

2. Never thought Simon from the Shire would get one over on me

3. Thought No.7 and eyes watering might be a cunning play on the Boots make up brand and eye liner/ mascara when you pointed it out.

think I need to get out a bit more
