The Pioneer Run...

#1 PostAuthor: uk kev » Sun Mar 18, 2012 9:41 pm

So I was up at early o clock, and meeting up with Mark, to take the Sparkbrook on the Pioneer run, it was cold and bright, and held the promise of being a good day out.

The bike did it's best on the day, and made it to Brighton, although it had a few problems on the way, but the old girl is nearly 100 years old, so deserves to be a little cranky. It threw a tyre going round a rounderbout, the carb had issues, and the clutch is now non exsitant, but she got there again.

Right here are my pictures, although they may not be in the correct order, but I am too tired to sort it right now.

The mind boggles. I was there about three years ago and i had absolutely no clue what all those wires, cables, levers, hoses, rods, dials, gauges and other paraphenalia was for but i guess it wouldnt be there if it wasnt needed eh.
I've had many brit bikes but that stuff is just mad. Thanks for taking the time to post it up.

Great pics Kev, I was up on Epsom Downs at silly o'clock to see you guys off - it really was fantastic to see such old bikes still running so well (altough probably not stopping as good!)
Glad you made it all the way :D
