Z1000r maybe!

#1 PostAuthor: jules » Sun Mar 11, 2012 10:11 pm

Just to please Richard L,recent purchase off e~bay Z1000r2,well thats what the log book says and the numbers say it is.Will post pictures when photobucket will upload them. It's in dyer need of paint, but have been e~bay mad and have replacement twin headlight screen coming, ignitor pack and other bits. It's been mono shocked with GPz rear end. Also has a 1089 block mmm,Once I get it running right,we'll consider which way to go ie quick paint and on the road,or complete strip and rebuild back to some kind of twin shocks.Anyway Rich it's on here,so I'd better pull my finger out as you have set the bench mark!!Image

Hi Jules,
Thanks for pictures . It doesn't look too bad but plenty to be going on with .
Have you / can you ride it at all , and if so what is the engine like? I bought mine last year at the same time and thought I would have it on the road before the summer which was quite frustrating. So be patient and it will get there eventually, at least you have something else to ride in the meantime.
All the best
Richard

Is it an overbored 1000 with an 1100 sidepanel badge or an 1100R?

It's a Z1000r with a 1089 block and 1100r side panels. I've asked on there if anybody knows this bike but no replys, shame some history would be nice.
