Took a ride out to Rivvy Barn today :) it were pretty dull so I set of in search of some sun found it out over Hade Edge in Kirklees stopped to take these

Decided to press on and maybe try a jollie over the Snake Pass and back home. press button nothing Hmm :?: but I charged the battery last night :!: So A rumage under seat for kick start and we are off again :) turn on headlights....missfire F*** :!: :evil: classic rectifier fail :cry: , shit 40 miles from home will the battery last :oops: off we go and hope :roll: get ten miles from home and applying brakes causes it to cut out Bollox :!: :!: stop and disconnect all brake light switches oil switch and neutral light indicator fuel gauge and completely feckin useless ammeter connections and set of again 2 miles to go and she goes on to two pots, it finally gave up the ghost at the end of the street :D so I only had to push it 20 yards :roll: slung it in the garage where it can stay till I come back of me hols and theres another chapter in the 30 year old bike riding saga over :wink: anyway heres a slide show from the barn some interesting stuff appearing after winter

Sorry it failed but love the "pragmatic" solution, we used to call it "BDR" (battle damage repair) when I was in the mob.
Great to so the bike ridden not driven............

geniuos roadside solution keith. a 20 yard push aint too bad.
Hopefully a rectifier and your up and running.

So for those that may be interested you may want to log this one for future reference ....... :oops: Black wire corrosion on the regulator ground.....replace the wire and fitted new connectors and hey presto 90 quid saved ....soooo more money to spend in my favourite railway siding pub :pok :hys
