Managed a quick tour round with the wife and son, good stand lads, never introduced myself you were too busy gabbing, after paying £50 for the three of us to get in it only left enough for a cup of tea LOL, anyway left my cash at home for my new project

Best run in recent years, Faro 2,500 miles, roads to die for. Applecross (NW 500) also awesome roads, current bikes, Z1, GPZ1100, ZRX1100, HD Fat bob.
Well done to Murph and everybody who helped with providing bikes for the stand, and the members who travelled big distances to get the the show. With the regards to the prices on the bikes on the VJMC stand, these were the prices the bikes sold for based on what they sold for back in the 70's. Apparently some guy saw the immaculate XS650 Special 'going' for £1500 and phoned his dad who hotfooted it to the show (£20 for the parking and entry ticket) and shoved the cash in a VJMC member's face and said he wanted to buy it. When told it was not for sale everything got very heated and the guy had to be escorted out of the hall. Have to admit when I saw the price of the Kettle of £1195 my heart skipped a beat as I thought of where I could get the money from. A second later I looked at the bike again and realised there was no way something that immaculate was going to go for that price

Thanks for clearing that up jacko.Even my old h1f has to be more than that ,the guy did say it was for sale but did not comment on a price, and i did not want to ask,but he did say the engine was a bit noisey, nothing changed there then as it was noisey the last time i seen it in the 90s.But it does have a better paint job now.Looked like a lawson paint job when i had it,Dug out some old pics.
