Went to Mikeys today for him to do a spot of polishing for me...as usual he did a cracking job and made it look so easy and for a very very good price.
It would have taken me days if not weeks to get the same finish...it only took him two hours to do the alternator and the oil catch tank.

I got this alternator as a spare and is how looked when it arrived from the U.S.A. (only cost £6.41p) plus p&p

You're getting envious looks from the great green one now!!

I'm not generally a fan of laquer on alloy but I think you need to consider it on this piece Guy cos of where it will be mounted.

Gonna be a pig to get at if you want to maintain that lustre when it's on the road.

Goddammit i hope i can get my 650 somewhere near that! (stop laughing Mark!!) If you're looking a loom theres a guy making them up, $230 + post (for my B1)from USA which i think is worth it, his wire thickness is upgraded too.

As it was a nice day on Monday i thought i would drag the Z650 outside and take some more pics...as you can see she is nearly finished...just got a few wiring niggles which Mark Hutton is going to sort out for me :D
And while he's at it he'll do the timing on the Dyna ignition and balance the carbs...anyway here some pics.
