Z-FEVER Exhaust system

#1 PostAuthor: DaveZ1 » Thu Mar 01, 2012 12:04 pm

Found these replica exhausts on a web site in Germany (hope the link works)
http://www.z-fever.de/ShopNeu/shop/show ... cts_id=330
Does anyone know if the quality is good and if they are the same replicas as Zpower sell.
Looks like there is a chrome cover over where the down pipe to silencer weld is (see pic2 on website) the systems
I have seen just have silver/ galv paint over the weld.
The price for this system works out at less than £1200 delivered to your door (UK)
including clamps etc. so seems quite reasonable just want to make sure
kit is OK before considering parting with my hard earned moolar :D

Hi Dave
The PMC sets Z Power were sellng in 2010 had the chrome trim to cover the weld like these.

My set seemed ok but Paul Jac had a problem with one pipe I believe.

Think Doremi also make them and I am not sure who Z Power are getting them from this year.

Hi Mark, do you think these are PMC sets and if so are they exact replicas like the doremi sets?
Cheers Dave

Hi Dave

I can't tell a PMC from a Doremi system from that photo I'm afraid.
Contact Jeff Saunders on here.
He is an importer and will tell you if either is to be avoided.
I think they are the only two suppliers Dave.

Guyz,

Why dont "WE" as a club organise the shipping of these items in bulk quantities???

I'm sure if we approached one of these manufacturers with a substantial order, they'd certainly talk to us.

To be BRUTALLY honest, .....this club has world wide recognition and membership. We are "supposed to be" THE Z1 club, so why are we not engaged in this type of transaction???

I bet there are smaller clubs that are doing this sort of thing with multiple manufacturers.

What is the general views of the members in doing this?

I'd be prepared to pay up front for a good quality "sensibly priced" 4 in to 4.

I've heard prices of £1200 ,£1300, and £1600 for a FECKING exhaust!!!!!!

Come on guyz lets get real here, how can anyone justify such hideous prices??

Once again it is........"It's for a Z1, they guyz will pay anything I ask".!!!

I think it would be quite shocking the mark up on these systems.

Jimmock, (I'm exhausted writing all that !!)

Cheers Mark, do you know Jeff Saunders user name so I can send him a pm?
Jimmocks got a point though I have seen Kawasaki triple owners club forums talking of doing just that.

Guyz,

Ok it is maybe mainly car clubs, but I've read and saw articles about parts being reproduced "exclusivly" for one make clubs.

It could happen here too.

Jim. When I used to visit the famous car factory in Dagenham I quizzed them about a stack of Mk3 Cortina wings.

He said we wait until we have approximately 500 on back order and then stamp `em out.

Hmmmmm..... if I were PMC or Doremi and I already had an agent in the UK like Z-Power who's going to stock my range and sell them to everyone for years to come, I'd probably not be interested in selling half a dozen to the owners club and pissing off my agent.

It's a whole different kettle of fish if the Club was to commission parts but I can't see it happening for stuff that's already 'in the trade'.

Nice idea though :)

Hi Dave

Jeff Saunders is the name he uses on here as well mister.

Click on pm and find username, type in Jeff* and he is second match on the list.

He is based in America and really helpful. When we were debating PMC paint sets on here he came up with some absolute gems of information.

That would have been cool Stevie but they would probably reply in german ..... then I would be reaching for the german phrase book

I have already enquired about the postage costs and surprisingly their reply was only 25euro which got me more interested :drool
so thought I would ask them that exact question, Doremi or PMC, still waiting for a reply to that one tho

It doesn't matter what language the contact you want to e-mail uses.
You can write to them in their language by using a translate programme such as Google translate.
I've written to people in German, Polish and Mandarin(Chinese) If they reply in their language just use Google Translate to translate into English.

Simples.
