When I mounted an XJR400 mudguard to my similar ZX9R USD forks, I used a small piece of 25mm aluminium flat bar bolted between the mounts on the forks, then bolted the mudguard through the flat bar into the rear fork mount, the front mudguard mount was bolted directly to the flat bar.
I don't have any pic's but I'll take one if it helps.

Thanks Steve I think I know what your describing...but cos the Gpz guard has a removable mount I will have to modify that (as it touches the tyre) before making the bits that actually attach it to the forks altho it maybe simpler to get an XJR guard and do what you have done...

Hey chaps, finally plucked up the courage to cut me ELR rep Exhaust in half! was a worrying experience! to say the least... but it's only metal and the hot Metal stick can always glue it back together again...! :-)

So cut it..tacked it and remounted it ..it's at a slightly "jauntier" angle and it now clears the brace on the swing arm so will fully weld it tomorrow.

cheers for now!

Crofty

Nice work Baldylocks, know the feeling about getting in there with the saw/grinder whatever, at least its not chrome.
Exactly Crofty! if it had been chrome I wouldn't have considered it but it still made the old starfish pucker a bit cutting into a brand new exhaust!

Padders/Is Vic There... me too but due to financial constraints will be a bit longer as and when I can do stuff , will get there in the end tho!
Well welded up th exhaust today despite my crappy MiG playing up a quarter of the way around...grrr
More Pics as and when, enjoy the sunshine!

Hi Jumbo, I actually got the Exhaust from the US a few years ago, from Hobart Cycle when the Dollar was fairly low and before Customs and Excise thought of a number and added zero's to it for Duty.
He still sells them for around £340 but it might be worth contacting C&E and asking what the duty would be on an item of that value and get it in writing.

There used to be a guy in Belfast that imported Kerker's but I'm not sure he is still in business as it was a part time job ... Demon Tweeks is an authorised dealer for Supertrap/Kerker so may be worth asking if they can get you a price on one?
The Part code is 127-61004
Hope this helps
cheers
