Bike looks stunning. Looking forward to seeing some pictures of the whole bike.

How come? Carbon wheels are stronger than any kind of metal wheel.

After a long time brooding about having black engine covers and or having undertail , I took the decision this week and just did it :aha

I had one condition and that was to keep the toolcase because its handy to have there. After a long time thinking and trying I manished to keep it and also at the same time hide 3/4 of the tail lamp. In my opinion the lamp is way to far out of the tail original.

I also painted the engine cover black as you can see on the pics, and I don't regret it. :D

Blacking the engine covers definitely the right way to go. Looks way better than the brown.

Morten - I really like the "dark" look that the Rex is taking on.

I think it is stunning - and I cannot wait to give mine a mild working over next winter - but I need a decent exhaust to start the project

I think the debate is still going on about impact resistance, but certainly I would prefer a pair of those rather than Marchesini mags on the road.

Thanks Bill and all of you other guys for nice words about the bike, I know it,s not a Z but anyway it,s nearby :D
And in my opinion it,s always cool to watch a Kawasaki gets a workover.
Just now waiting for some more parts, but will post more pictures as soon they arrive.

And to you Bill, I tought you know there is nothing named "mild working over" it is all or nothing :viking

I kind of recognize myself. My "slightly modified" GSX1100EF soon turned into a completely new bike...

Bodywork needs some love and paint, but besides that, it's pretty much all finished. New windscreen is on the way.

A nice pure white with the same blue metallic as the wheels and a black stripe to keep them apart. Oldschool Suzuki colors.
