I'm going to assume Japan.

I've been in contact with Ohlins a few times myself through different sources and the answer has always been "No we don't make them, but if you order a batch of xxx forks, we will build them for you.".

I've heard from a guy I know that it might be possible to source them through Norton but I'm not sure.

Not sure if they're the 'real deal' though. :fou Seller does have good feedback.

As I said, they'll build them for you if you order a big batch of them. The Japanese retailer does just that: order a bunch of forks, say 100-200 units. That's a lot of forks and a lot of money, money Ohlins couldn't even dream of earning from the conventional market here in Europe or in the US since the demand for these parts is so low.

But since the Japanese have a thing for highly tuned classics and a lot of money to spare on their hobbies, they sell really well over there which is why they are available there - there is a demand.

The forks aren't even listed on Ohlins own site so I don't know who's "fibbing". :|

Interesting stuff, I can see how the demand might be relatively small from Europe. You'd think they might at least offer to sell but tell European customers they have to wait for the next Japan batch request to come through and just make the extra sets at the same time. Demand might even increase there's certainly been a lot more high end tuned classics appearing in the mags for the past couple of years.

Since I bought Mr Doran's B2(Hi Paul!) I've mulling over what i fancy doing with the Exup forks on it. Cartridge kit(if available?), ZX9R/GSXR front end or top end stuff like the Ohlins? Some saving up needed first mind :D

Another candy lying on my garage floor waiting to be mounted on the rex.
Newly arrived outstanding British craftmanship all Titan exhaust for my ZRX.
Weighing in at total 2,6KG    and with the most butiful lobsterback silencer ever seen :D :D

This exhaust is the best I have ever seen for the REX and the weldings and finish is just EXCELLENT !!!!! Jon Keeling and the guys at Racefit really knows what they doing and make what you want on order.

I had a picture in my head of what it should look like and told Jon, and he made just that, even far beyond my expectations :rocks

I can highly recommend Racefit to everybody who thinks of having a new exhaust for they bike. The make and finish is no standing back to whatever, rather the other way :clap
