Oh no i'm a post behind everyone here
Look forward to having a drink with you a Donington Simon .
Been full of double man flu all weekend so have stayed in with the heating turned up .
Also i thought it necessary to get a bottle of whisky and consume it medicinally so that i'm fit and ready for work tomorrow .
I hope this goes some way to excusing the shite that i've posted at least for this weekend

Very tempting to edit your post Geoff but being the sensible sober type I decided not to  I thoroughly recommend copious amounts of alcohol for man-flu and......................well, practically anything else for that matter

Ok then, I've just had a 'virtual reccy' with a bit of help from Google Street View.
From our 'Digs', if you turn right out of the front door, just 5 doors down is the 'Cross Keys', carry on a bit further and you come accross the 'Tudor Inn' on the left (looks like a good place to eat), a little bit further you've got the 'Lamb' on the right.

Turning left out of the 'digs' you've got the 'Moira Arms' & the 'Turks head' & possibly a few more I haven't found yet.

Not found a 'Curry House' yet or a 'Kebab' shop, but I'll keep looking. :sou

GB if you go left from your digs up the hill, turn left at the crossroads and there is/was a curry house on the L/H/S.
If you can press gang a driver, then this is about 5 miles away :??

Looks like there are 2 curry places and a fish&chip shop on Borough St.

Will hopefully pop in on Sunday on the way home but as Steve says I have to attend a charity dinner Sat night that my company has sponsored a table so will not be there with any merchandise.

Hope you all have a great time.
