Things starting to move again.Got the crome back.
main parts are the triple trees and swing arm.Which has held things up a bit.
But i have now fitted the cams and done the timing.So engine is now complete.
In readiness for the swing arm i have refurbished the shocks.
after pics below


I also did a bit of detailing on the rear wheel

Im sure im like most of you when you get new parts.You want to see them on the bike ASAP.
Im replacing all screws with stainless cap heads.I brought standard 12mm fixings and forgot they are fine threads so have fitted the swing arm and mocked up the the rear end.



And then rear wheel and brake

when i got them they had all been painted black.

Hi Steve.

So how's it going well first ITS BLUDDY COLD IN THE SHED.
But i have made some progress.
first all the right bolts have now been fitted to the rear end[bikes not mine]
So shocks,rear wheel and chain are not fitted correctly.
I been moving about the bike a bit as parts allowed.
To continue with the rear of the bike i have been working on the tail tidy after getting a new tail through the club.Fantastic quality.
Im not a metal worker so have kept things simple.

This is how it fits on the bike.will bolt to mudguard bracket when finished.

This is how it will look underneath.

its quite simple but When all fitted and painted seams neat and effective.
The dyno coils leads and NGK caps are fitted.good of dyno to coular match coils to the bike


And now have started putting the front end together after i did a bit more polishing and a bit of chroming done.


I wont finish the tail till i have painted the parts when i do the tank etc.For now will finish off the front end and get the wheel back on.

Some of you may remember my topic asking for recommendations for a modern front mudguard.
There one or to good suggestions.But it turned out i needed one that fixed to the fork brace.after much searching this is what i came up with.


It came of a FZX750.This was by no means a straight forward fit.The front around the forks did not line up directly under the brace.So i cut the guard into two and then shaped the inside to fit round the forks.Screwed the two halves to the brace.Once in possession glassed the two halves together for added strength.
Next is to polish the forks and do front end final assembly

So finally back on two wheels
Ive managed to get the front end pretty much sorted.
Polished up clock mounting bracket and the forks.fitted head light ,brakes and handlebars.



I have now moved on to the wiring.Which i have to say looks a right mess.Bad joints and to make some wires long enough someone or some thing had joined three small bits together[badly]
But after some time got it sorted and started to run in the loam.

But the big head line is shes back on two wheels with exhaust fitted





great feeling.end is now in sight .
And im pretty happy with the way it turning out.

Some of you may have seen on the bike help forum that ive hit a problem with shims and valves

But on a more positive note inbetween the crying ive move forward in an other area

I wanted to have indecators on the bike. But something a bit smaller than the ariganals and in keeping with its more updated look.
I couldnt finned anything i realy liked so i brought some of ebay and moded them.Simple but bacicaly cut down the arriganal stem and fitted these indecatars bowls to them.
I have also painted and fitted the inner tail tidy i made.

Not to much progress to report.
As you my have seen in bike help ive have a few probs with valves
But i have now rebuilt the carbs and statick synced them.
Full strip down sonic cleaned them.Then rebuilt with kit replacing all jets,orings and gaskets.
A bit of polishing on the caps and float bowl.
Hope to have new valves and sets cut this week.
