ELR gas tank

#18 PostAuthor: elr-21 » Sun Jan 22, 2012 12:44 pm

You wait for the "realdeal"?

Allright. I have a tank - its a KZ1000R1 one. Bought it may be 10 or 12 years ago in the US. Seller told me its new. It also came in the authentic carton.

I paid really a lot of $$$.

It was NOT new. Probably it was changed for a new bike against a new one, but it was on a bike, has some minor dents and a bit surface inside.
Looks like it was not used for riding.

Anywhere I still have a print of the auction...

If you´ll pay what I paid, you can have it!

I´m rather sure, this is near a once in a lifetime opportunity - although the tank has some minor faults... If I would find a NOS one, I would probably buy for any reasonable price!

Cheers

Dave, if you do have a set I will buy them off you for my bike that I am rebuilding. Gez is doing the engine but the square cam covers are upsetting him a wee bit :D

I sold a set of Z1000J bodywork last October for over £200 on ebay, & that was with a sidepanel lug missing & a broken tailpiece mount.
