Where fuels rush in.

Hi, what carbs would you recommend to replace the fuel injection
on a GPZ1100 B2?
Thinking carbs off another bike, Z`s, Gixxers etc.. as opposed to
something more expensive like smoothbores.

Any advice on this would be most appreciated.

750 slabside gixer carbs are supposed to be good or CVs off a J or R.

Allan might be easier to get your fuel injection sorted out instead of going to carbs.

Thanks for the advice, to be honest the injection has already gone
but I`m having some probs with the carbs so I thought I might get
another set and just wondered if some off a newer bike might do
the job.
Not sure what bike the carbs I`ve got are off of but they`re Mikuni
CV`s.

What about a set of CV`s off an 1100 Zephyr.
What d`ya reckon?

Allan,although the bike will run on non-Kawasaki 34mm CV Mikuni carbs they probably won't work as well throughout the rev range,tickover as well,etc.
A set of early GSXR 750 slabslide model,Mikuni flatslides are a good set to go for.You can strip 'em dowm and get the reducer collar bored out to 33mm and away you go.Plus with the slide carbs you can run individual filters no worries,whereas the CV's need an air-box to work properly.

jack is spot on, if you fit cv's you will need a dyna jet kit ?95. you can get gxsr750 carb's for ?50 to ?75 and can set them up easy (ish) i would open them out to 33 like jack said

SMR610, for about ?200 you could pick up a second hand set of Mikuni RS36's which are much better, easier to tune & add to the performance
CV carbs can be a nightmare to sort even with a 'jet kit'.
