Back in business :lon :sou

i am back in business after the accident with sprox and chain coming off and blocket the backwheel. New swingarm in black with a much better chain adjustment mechanism than the old Zephyr one, new welded and powdercoated frame, new heavy duty gear box bearings, no fuc.... oil leak (I hope) , new Øhlins rear shocks, new chain and sprox and ready to go :twisted:

Long time to summer doe :evil:

But anyway it's good to be ready. :P

Cracking job - I much prefer slotted chain adjusters, rather than the concentric type :wink:
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

What a fantastic looking bike, congratulations. I have bought a non-running Z900 as a project and want to bring it into the 21st century while keeping a largely standard look. Any chance of a photo of the left side so we can see how you have done the hydraulic clutch conversion?

And what sort of rearsets are they? Most of the ones I have seen on Japanese websites are designed for small Japanese persons and would be too cramped for me (I am 183cm tall). Yours look like a good compromise with decent legroom and integral rear master cylinder mounting.

Thank you all for showing interest and for nice words on my project.

Posting some more pictures of it and I hope for feedback and coments on evt. changing something. I have thought about painting the rear brakearm black with the Z1000 in silver. What do you guyes think of that?

To Londonz1... The rearsets are PMC-inc. in Japan. Agree with you about the position, thats the reason I bought them. They are not that extrem, and fit my driving position. I am 182cm.
