Have you had any luck sourcing a wiring harness Guy. You could try http://www.cwswiring.com/Home.php in the US. They make sublooms, but if you look closely there is a link to a page showing a complete new harness and their quality looks very good. Crofty

I've ordered a new loom for my 650 from them. It will cost $230 which is more than the 900 replica looms which are readily available, but for a hand-made bespoke item I don't think it is too bad especially if it alleviates the gremlins that cause so many problems with 30 year old looms.

That's what I thought Jim. I hate electrical problems as they can be really frustrating and time-consuming to sort out so a new loom goes a long way towards overcoming any potential issues and justifies the outlay.

Thanks for the heads up Jim...but i think i have to bite the bullet and get a one off loom made...Mark Hutton said that he could do this for me...but with Chimbo coming it won't be until the new year.

I know i haven't posted anything on there for a month or so...so theres a update.

Brake lines for the front brakes...all made and working (i won't bore you with a pic) we all know what brake lines look like.

Taylor HT leads on and looking nice.

But on Monday i went and saw a chap called Hywel at Spot On Control Cables after i was told he could make me a chain guard.

I made up a cardboard template and gave it to him-like i say on Monday.
Friday i get a call saying its all ready to be picked up :D

Yesterday afternoon was spent drilling and making sure it fitted nicely without hitting the chain.

Today was polishing day for the guard...which took me about 3 hours :!:

Anyway thers some pics...

I was gonna say, I'll need me sunglasses once that's out & about, but I think I'd best revise that & wear some welding goggles instead. :beam
