headlamp ears
does anybody know when they changed over from the brazed brackets to the spot welded brackets, iv'e got one of each on my early z1a and theres one on ebay that would make a pair
...cheers

Baz, I refer to these ears (headlight brackets) as seamless and the later ones as having seams. I didn't know they were brazed, i thought cleverly welded or pressed.
I have seen the seamless ears extend into Z1A for the first couple of thousand, Say until Z1F-22000. Could be longer! This was quite common for Kawasaki to not clearly define it's move into change. This also happened with its rear hub and tacho light.
I think these overlaps were prevalent , particularly during the change from Z1F-20000 and 22000. It was just a matter of having a batch of parts manufactured and using the old before the new or mixing the batches!
