Z1a Front wheel advice
Just put new tyres on my Z1a rear wheel no probs even the one exhaust i removed to help was a doddle to re fit .
but the front wheel as i tighten the holding cups the wheel goes very tight,
Loosen them a little and all is ok.
Am i missing somthing easy here ? are the securing cups handed ?
Or do i just keep tweeking untill i get it right.
Thanks

They aren't handed but if your facing the front wheel say LHS looking directly at the disc, the LH edge of the clamp should tighten by hand and clamp firmly against the underside of the fork whereas the RH edge should have a small gap when tightened approx 1mm or so. When on the RHS looking at the wheel the opposite applies.
If your wheel seizes when you do this then you def have something wrong.

Hi Mike
Guy was comming to have a look at the weekend but was un well unfortunatley, hope your feeling better mate, i went over the re fitting as per your instructions and it made sense, but the problem remains, wheel spins freely if hand held, and if held in the forks by hand as well.have cleaned up the spindle and the fork bottoms etc,
will have another look in the week.
Any more thoughts mike ?

if your spindle is tight with the wheel removed does the wheel spin freely ? if
is it does i would say the front mudguard is is touching the front tyre .try slackening the front mudguard bolts then fit the wheel + adjust the mudguard so you have the same clearance front + rear also have you removed the brake calliper as sometimes the mounting bolts can rub on the disc
