Z1000 MKII Choke Plunger seals.

#1 PostAuthor: njwmct » Mon Oct 31, 2011 10:27 am

Anyone ever managed to find a source for seals for the Mikuni Carb Choke plungers?
I'm not talking about the external rubber boot but the seal inside the brass plunger that seals off the choke circuit inside the carb when the choke is not required.
I don't think it was ever available from Kawasaki as there is only a part no. for the compelte plunger (16016-021)

there is a company advertising on e bay usa that sell reconditioned choke plungers for about $45 for a set of four. have you tried replacing the spring as this will put a little bit more pressure on the seal

That's a thought a replacement spring might help.
