1978 Z1R Carburation Problem

Hi - don't know whether or not you are still using the Forum but I've just found your post.
I've been experiencing what seems like a similar problem with a Z1000 MKII.
It's had an off idle stutter that I've been trying to solve for months with no luck & it's driving me nuts!!.
Done all the carb things, ultrasonic clean / new jets / balance - all the ignition things etc just like you did.
So I'm going to try dropping the needles one notch - fingers crossed!!

Take the bike to kev at projex in cradley heath west midlands he will sort it. He knows his carbs inside out and also has a dyno. I messed around with my bike that had a bad running problem and eventually took it to kev on a recommendation. Not only do my carbs look like brand new now but the bike is running sweet as.
