With regards to sinking the cam cover bolts, not at the moment I milled a 15mm spacer for the rear of the tank to raise it up, once I have the motor running I'll se if that works regarding Engine movement it has given approx 1 cm of clearance to the bottom of the tank and the seams of the tank clear the heads of the bolts either side.
I may build a new loom as the one on there is the original 650B1 and will at the very least need some new connectors, but as I am on a tight budget will have to see.

As I haven't got any useful updates to post I thought I would load up a couple of Piccies....first one from the 80's when I originally modded it with Lester Wheels Brembo Calipers Tarozzi Rear sets Yoshi exhaust cutdown seat and a sort of Eddie Lawsonesque Paint job

and here's one from the 90's with it looking a little worse for wear having not had a Garage for it, I rented a lockup in Denham that had more holes than a sieve so the bike probably deteriated more in there than it would have parked outside!

More relevant updates soonish!

Ok small update ...as I noticed that certain members bump their threads up in this style!
Fitted the sprocket that the very nice young man GB sold me ..but it has raised another problem! it lines up perfectly with the rear sprocket but.. it now means the chain interferes with the brace on my swing arm...so choices..buy new 17 tooth sprocket (and have a wheelie machine!) or swap swing arm for unbraced standard Zephyr arm? (I already have one that I was going to bolt in my GPz1100 B2....
I don't mind it being under geared so it looks like 17 tooth it will be and I'll use the 19 on me B2!

You seem to be getting a move on with this project. Should be able to iron out any problems over winter and have a fun time next summer.
Front mudguard on the old pic looks like a GPZ550 one or similar.
Yoshi pipe would be worht a few quid now, have you still got it.
Theres a streetfighter 650 on ebay listed yesterday, will put link to it

Well happy with it, may take a few mm out of the bottom where the stem is so it sits a touch lower but apart from that ...

Ok...got a bit of Mojo back, no money but some Mojo! so tried some no cost options..bolted on the shocks from my B2 1100 and tried the Lawson Kerker on also from the B2 ...looks like I will need to shorten the Collector pipe approx 2 inches.. bummer! the brace on the swing arm interferes with it, also working on how to mount the Gpz750 front mudguard ...
